Philips 56-Inch Cinema 21:9 HDTV Isn’t Going to America


If you liked that 56-inch Cinema 21:9 HDTV from Philips and if you happen to live in the USA we have some pretty bad news for you. Philips won’t be bringing it to America just yet. Philips will sell this TV in various European markets for about 3,400 Euro. Do you need one that bad? Maybe next time you’re going on vacation to Europe, you can pick one up. Or you can simple buy a TV from the competition. With the Super Bowl coming up, there are plenty of good HDTV offers to take advantage of.

    You sure it is 21:9 and not 22:9 or 20:9? 21 and 9 are both divisions of 3 so the technical ratio term would really be 7:3, the lowest common denominator.
