Recently, Pioneer launched two new Blu-ray players equipped with web capability. These players are known as the BDP-330 and BDP-LX53 and they’re designed to play content from YouTube and RSS feeds through Internet access from a built-in Ethernet port and an optional Wi-Fi USB dongle. The devices are also capable of decoding high-resolution Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio surround sound. Furthermore, they feature BD-Live functionality and the iControlAV app, which allows you to operate the players remotely with an iPhone or iPod Touch through Wi-Fi. Thus, the Pioneer BDP-330 will cost SGD399 ($289) and the Pioneer BDP-LX53 is priced at SGD549 ($398). Currently, they’re set to be released in Singapore.
