Polk Audio recently announced SurroundBar50 to match 50-inch flat panel. It is a successor to the original SurroundBar introduced in 2005. The new 51-inches wide SurroundBar50 delivers an elevated surround sound experience from a single, slim, front mounted speaker without the need for rear speakers. The speaker employs legendary Polk SDA (Stereo Dimensional Array) technology to deliver sound fit for small rooms. Users will not need any woofer as the sound of SurroundBar50 will fill entire room. The SurroundBar50 will hit the stores in October 2007 at an MSRP of $1099.95. You can also see it at CEDIA Expo booth 830 in the Colorado Convention Center, September 6 – 9, 2007.
