Remote Video Recorder

This remote digital video recorder from Hammacher Schlemmer allows you to record and watch your favorite TV programs from anywhere in the world. The unit connects to your TV, DVR, satellite box or cable and streams its live signal over your home network to the Internet via your computer. The included software allows you to remotely control any A/V device with which the device is connected. It recreates an exact image of your remote, including the same buttons that you are used to, right on the screen of your computer, pulling from a database of over 1,000 popular brands of televisions, DVRs, cable and satellite boxes.

Your favorite programs can also be recorded to your laptop’s hard drive as MPEG2 files to be viewed later. You can also watch and record your programs from a computer on your home network.
