Ridata 2.5-inch IDE Ultra-S Solid State Drive

Diamond Bar, a manufacturer and marketer of the popular Ridata brand of recordable DVD media and digital media accessories, is proud to add its new Ridata Single Layer Cell 2.5” IDE Ultra-S in its award-winning Ridata Solid State Drive (SSD) product line-up.

“The reliability and performance benefits of the Single Layer Cell (SLC) SSD structure is vastly superior to a hard disk drive or MLC SSD for the environmentally rugged conditions of the industrial marketplace,’ remarked Harvey Liu, Advanced Media President. It’s ideal for ruggedized laptop or Linux users to replace hard drives with storage IDE interface.

Offering a faster speed and reliability, Ridata SLC is capable of storing one bit of data in each cell versus MLC that can store up to 2 bits per cell. It features SLC flash technology and offers static wear leveling and bad block management for data integrity. The Ridata SLC 2.5” IDE Ultra-S SLC will be available in the third quarter of 2008.
