Those who recently purchased one of Samsung’s new A950-series LCD HDTVs better look away. Samsung has recently announced that they are scrapping the previous series for a new updated one. What exactly do these updates entail, you ask?

Well, CNET makes mention that that the new LCDs have a raised black level in very dark scenes, along with improving the shadow detail and “eliminated some of the worst blooming effects” of the previous model.

Sammy says that TVs manufactured after September 20th have the update, for those of you that purchased one before, you better get on the phone and let the hasslin’ begin! (1-800-SAMSUNG) Say Cyber Theater sent you! ;)
