I purchased this TV based on the reviews here on Amazon, a method that has served me well over the years. The 50 inch Maxent Plasma that we have owned and loved for the last four years has stared to fail (flickering picture for a minute when first turned on). Up until this TV I had not seen an LCD that I thought had a better picture than my Plasma. The Samsung arrived and we had the opportunity to compare the old Maxent Plasma with the Samsung LCD using Dish Network’s HD Programming. Side by side, comparing the two, the Samsung LCD wins.

Pilot Freight, the delivery service used by Amazon is horrible. They were over 2-1/2 hours late and did not even bother to let me know they were running late, a simple phone call would have been welcomed. When they finally did show up at 6:30 pm, the delivery men could not wait to drop the box off and leave. They opened the box and put the TV the stand only after I insisted.
