Samsung offers a cost-friendly HDTV for the budget shopper, offering an extremely easy to operate HDTV. However there is a saying that you get what you pay for. And in this case, you should not expect too much from an HDTV that will cost you only $935.

The Samsung LN37A550 is a good choice for someone seeking an adequate, not-too-expensive 37-inch HDTV that requires minimal setup. The input connections are easy to get to, the on-screen menus are well designed and helpful, and the remote control is one of the best I’ve seen. But this model had wildly variable picture quality, ranging from fair to very good, plus a tendency to make some images too bright, and mediocre sound.

Erratic as the features may be, you should know better than to get a steal from new consumer electronic items in the market. Especially since it is not that popular, you merely get a satisfaction of want but may want to reconsider the quality requirements you seek if you are working on a limited budget.
