Samsung LN37B650 Television Review–Better Than Its Predecessor

I actually talked about the Samsung LN37B550 last week, and now, I have the opportunity to discuss its upgraded version, the Samsung LN37B650.  It is a pretty significant upgrade on every front–sound quality, picture quality…and price.

The Samsung LN37B650 is a thirty seven inch 1080p television with four HDMI ports, two component jacks, two composite jacks, one PC input port, two USB jacks, one Ethernet jack, and one optical digital audio output.

Naturally, it’s also got that really unpleasant hidden control scheme that I’ve come to despise so very, very much, but it’s also got a lot going for it.  Like most Samsungs, it has an excellent picture, but this model also has very clear sound.  In fact, in a lot of ways, this Samsung is a much better model than the other.

The downside here is that you’ll have to pay for the substantial improvement in quality–about three hundred bucks more.  This sucker retails for about twelve hundred fifty bucks, depending on where you shop.  It’s a great model, but be prepared to spend out the nose.  You can probably find better value elsewhere.
