Samsung PN50B550T2F Plasma Television Review–Decent Model

Samsung has this strange habit of presenting me with a litany of mixed bags.  Something usually goes wrong here, but not always.  Generally, if everything’s not at least mostly right, only one thing has gone faulty.  And in this case, everything looks fairly solid to me.

The Samsung PN50B550T2F is a fifty inch 1080p plasma television with  E-Panel with FilterBright to reduce glare, wide color enhancer technology, a built in twenty watt speaker system, a USB port, PC input, four HDMI inputs, one a/v input, two component video inputs, and Anynet Plus functionality.

The sound and picture both seem just fine, at least with the model I tried.  Though the whole thing seems a bit overpriced–yes, I know it’s a fifty inch plasma screen at 1080p, but fourteen hundred bucks does seem a bit excessive for what you get.  But still, if you’re looking for a new plasma television, you definitely could do a lot worse than the Samsung PN50B550T2F
