Recently, Samsung released the Spinpoint MT2 HDD for shipping. This 2.5 inch internal hard drive is designed for use in portable storage, accommodating devices such as digital TVs, home media systems and set-top boxes. The hard drive sports 8MB buffer memory, 5400rpm and delivers up to 1TB for stored content such as photos, music, video and work files. Furthermore, it’s also equipped with Samsung’s patented SilentSeek and NoiseGuard technology for reducing noise levels while it’s in use. In addition to this, it features shock resistance levels of 400G (2ms) in operation mode and 800G (1ms) when the power is off. However, there is no current information concerning price or availability at the moment.
