Yesterday, Samsung showed the press a new product called the SE-S084, which is an external DVD drive. According to Samsung, this device is the thinnest DVD drive ever made. The SE-S084 is basically a standard external 24x CD-ROM / 8x DVD-ROM but it just happens to be 17 mm thick. This model will be released in seven colors and it’s priced at $69.99 for retail right now.

Samsung also unveiled a device called the SH-B123, which is a BD-ROM/DVD writer. Again, the company boasts about their latest stuff, calling the SH-B123 the fastest Blu-ray drive in the world today. This player is equipped with DVD up-scaling technlogy and an aerodynamic design for lowering acoustic spinning noise. Currently, there’s no information available concerning price for this Blu-ray but it’s expected to come out for sale next month.
