Samsung has released the above prototype of an all new OLED display at the FPD International 2008 show. Word has it, this is the biggest OLED TV of it’s kind, clocking in at 40 inches.

And for those of you who know how to decipher it, the technical specs are as follows:

- 1,920 x 1,080 resolution
- 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio
- 107% NTSC color gamut
- 200cd/m2 luminance
- 8.9mm thick

While those numbers sound promising, there is no telling when an affordable one of these puppies will be on the market. Bummer.
