The Sennheiser HD-800 is the headphone that has been specifically engineered in duplicating the primary acoustic conditions of natural hearing. As much as 60 years of clever headphone engineering has been implemented into the new HD 800. While incorporating Sennheiser’s most advanced driver technology, these open, circum-aural dynamic stereo headphones redefine what reference-level audio is all about. Only premium parts have gone into their production - the transducer is encased by stainless steel, the ear pads are made of high-quality Japanese Alcantara and the headband and headphone mounting uses the most advanced development from the aerospace industry.
These headphones utilize specially designed, four-wire, high-performance connections with Teflon insulation and have been developed to provide the closest match to “being there” than any other headphone out there. The Sennheiser HD-800 is for the choosy audiophile. Not released for sale yet but will retail for about $1400.00
