Sharp has joined the Blu Ray Player market by unveiling their own model, the BD-HP21. This new Blu Ray player is among the cheapest products of the company, priced at only $430. Not a bad price to own your first Blu Player!

The player supports BD-LIVE and BONUS VIEW, video in 1080/60/24p and audio in Dolby-True HD/DTS-HD Master Audio and Dolby NR. DVD upscaling (in 1080/60p) is also possible. The player is compatible to BD-RE/BD-R/DVD-RW/DVD-R/DVD＋RW/DVD＋R/CD-RW and CD-R discs. It also features one HDMI port and a USB port.

Though it may sound tempting to buy, it is only available in Japan. Launch date is set on March 1 and no word when it would be available in other countries for now.
