Yesterday, we reported on Panasonic’s 3D Blu-ray recorders and players, and it would appear that Sony is ready to do a 3D-ready player with the BDP-S470.

The BDP-S470 can do BD, DVD, CD, and SACD with a 3D Blu-ray upgrade planned for this summer. There is also BD-Live support, BRAVIA Internet Video, a USB socket for playing other media, 1080p DVD upscaling and TrueHD/DTS-HD Master Audio decoding.

The BDP-S470 will be available later in this month for $200, and some of Sony’s other Blu-rays will get 3D upgrades later. Very nice, Sony, very nice.
