Sony has happily expanded its family of professional LCD monitors with the two new monitors. The new 15-inch and 24-inch displays are expected to enrich Sony’s LUMA series of LCD professional monitors. These two new multi-format monitors feature the same design and advanced functionality as found in the previous LUMA series models.
The new LMD-2451W model is considered as a successor of the LMD-2450W, comes incorporating a wide CCFL back-light, which provides a wide color gamut and a high-fidelity color reproduction. This one is a 24-inch monitor that delivers 1920 x 1200 resolution.
Sony’s LMD-1530W is a 15-inch display that has been designed for entry-level HD video production applications. It delivers a perfect resolution of 1280 x 768. This one is a SD-SD1 ready monitor with multiple sources like composite, Y/C, component and HDMI inputs.
These two new Sony LCD monitors are expected to be available in the market from June, 2009 onwards at a price of $4,795 and $1,295 for LMD-2451W and LMD-1530W respectively.
