Sony’s first Blu-ray Disc-capable component named Home Entertainment Server HES-V1000 brings boom in the industry by organizing your digital music, movies and photos with ease. With a 500GB hard disc drive and full HD 1080p 200-disc Blu-ray Disc™/DVD/CD changer, you can easily store hours of video, 40,000 songs or 20,000 digital photos in one device. Apart from this, you can burn content to Blu-ray Discs and DVD’s. It contains HD 1080p 200-disc Blu-ray Disc™/DVD/CD changer (196 12cm BD/DVD/CDs and four 8cm BD/DVDs). For easy transfer of images, it contains Memory Stick® media inputs, Secure Digital cards, CompactFlash media and xD-Picture CardTM flash memory readers.

With Home Entertainment Server you can burn movies and slide shows to your DVD’s. Using the remote, one can customize his picture presentations as it has x-Application® feature i.e. x-Pict Story HD and x-ScrapBook photo slide show. x-Pict Story HD syncs music from your personal library with the face-recognition technology to create a photo presentation. x-ScrapBook makes a slideshow very quickly using personalized digital scrapbook. These two technologies can be used to export slide shows directly to Blu-ray Discs or DVDs.

Home Entertainment Server can be connected to the computer through Ethernet or Wireless Adapter to access CD, DVD and Blu-ray Disc stored in the device. When connected to the internet, you can download your firmware updates directly to the system. You can buy HES-V1000 online at sonystyle.com or Sony Style retail stores, military base exchanges and Sony authorized dealers for approx $3,500 October onwards.
