Sony today unveiled a brand new HDTV the 60-inch KDS-Z60XBR5. This micro-display HDTV features Motion flow 120Hz high frame rate technology and dramatically thinner cabinets. This HDTV has been developed in consultation with the Sony Pictures Entertainment movie studio. Sony’s Theater Mode is the outcome of discussion with the people who bring Blu-ray disc and DVD for home screening to replicate an exceptional cinematic feeling of the movie theater in your living room.

The TV is compatible with Sony’s Digital Media Extender offering a digital connection path for the BRAVIA Internet Video Link module which is sold separately. The technology up-converts all non-HD signal to 1080i, delivering an exceptional image to the screen. The XBR5 model of Sony also add BRAVIA Engine Pro circuitry with Digital Reality Creation-Multi Function v2.5 which up-converts signals, including 720p and 1080i, to 1080p. So if you really want to get that feel of theater experience sitting at your home then for your knowledge this model would enter the market for the users in the month of August at a price of about $5,000.
