Sony Pictures to Deliver Free Movies on YouTube

I bet you were praying from free YouTube movies from the first day you heard about the site. Well sit tight ’cause Sony Pictures is said to be in talks with YouTube to deliver these free movies. They won’t be exactly free since they will be ad-supported movies but you won’t have to pay a cent from your pockets to watch them. Is YouTube ready to handle the extra traffic? Surely more people will be interested in watching free movies online instead of the regular funny but short bits of video they watch now on YouTube. On the other hand Sony will most likely launch older movies first, which is totally logical since I can’t imagine any studio doing otherwise yet, and therefore the extra traffic to YouTube might not be as impressive at first.
