Sony has just announced that their active-shutter 3D glasses are now available for purchase at a price point of $149. According to the press release, these glasses will offer 100 hours of battery life before needed a recharge in addition to an auto-standby feature to squeeze as much juice out of these as possible.

If you’re looking to purchase these, make not that you’ll need a Sony HX800, HX909 or LX900 3DTV to use them, otherwise you’re just wasting your money.

Of course, you’ll also need a 3D Blu-ray player but your options are much more open in that sector.
