Sony STR-DA5500ES Receiver
For the most cinematic experience at home, Sony has enhanced its flagship range of home cinema products and has launched the new STR-DA5500ES receiver. Designed to form the heart of a total entertainment system, the receiver is compatibility with all the high-definition audio and video of Blu-ray-Disc.
The STR-DA5500ES is a 7.1-channel AV receiver that sports both internet radio capability and DLNA Client functionality. Other outstanding features of the receiver include Sony’s new HD Digital Cinema Sound processing, Sony’s Digital Cinema Auto-Calibration to simplify the set-up and Automatic Phase Matching (APM). In addition, the receiver supports six HDMI inputs, video upconversion and upscaling.
Finally, the STR-DA5500ES receiver has two Digital Media Ports, for easy connectivity with optional modular port devices. The STR-DA5500ES will be available in October, 2009.
