Sony to do Android and Intel chips in their TVs

We already reported on how Samsung could be possibly working on an Android-based TV platform OS.

It would appear that Sony is working on something similar. They might (emphasis on might) announce Intel Atom-powered TVs next month at Google I/O 2010. This new OS from Sony called Dragonpoint, will be Sony’s first foray into smart TVs.

I suppose TVs with an OS are going to be a new standard, so why not Android.
