Sony to unveil some new music service today through the Playstation

The big tech news today will probably be whatever Steve Jobs announces at his Apple music event, but Sony could also be planning something big as well.

This has not been confirmed, but Sony is planning to use the PlayStation consoles for a new service that will enable users to access a whole range of other Internet-connected devices. According to my Source, this includes Walkman music players, Vaio computers, Bravia TVs, Blu-ray players, as well as Sony Ericsson mobile phones.

This is definitely going to be some serious announcement, if it is true. I suppose that we will have to wait a little on this. Is it better than having Netflix and Hulu Plus?
