Sony has announced the Japan launch of its two new SXRD projectors, viz. VPL-VW80 and VPL-HW10. These projectors were exhibited at the IFA2008. The former will reach the stores on November 20^th while the latter on October 20^th.

Sony VPL-HW10 offers amazing picture quality at a resolution of 1920×1080, a contrast ratio 30,000:1, a brightness of 750/1000 lumens and a response time of 2ms. It features BRAVIA Engine 2. The company has not announced its price yet.

Sony VPL-VW80 Projector features a contrast ratio of 60,000:1, 100Hz Motionflow Dark Frame Insertion Tech, a brightness of 800 Lumens, the BRAVIA Engine 2, and response time of 2.5ms, and two HDMI inputs. It will be available at a price of 5,000€.
