Sony is preparing to launch a new SACD player in Japan this coming August called the SCD-XE800. This device is packing Sony’s patented DSD (Direct Stream Digital) technology for high quality sound. Furthermore, it features a top model design, Super Audio D / A converters, Kemikon selection of high quality (chemical capacitors), coaxial digital output and simple remote control functionality. So, this SACD player will be available to Japanese consumers for retail at a price of 37,800 Yen ($429).
