For the technical buffs, Sony launched XBR8 Series of HDTV engulfed with latest features and high picture quality. The models include 55-inch KDL-55XBR8 and 46-inch KDL-46XBR8. The TV, based on TRILUMINOS three-color LED backlight technology, is capable of alligning red, blue and green LEDs delivering unmatched picture quality.

ACE PRO technology controls the LED Backlight level by area and the result is improved contrast. Light emission is greatly reduced resulting in low power consumption. Motionflow technology eliminates judder and creates 60 unique frames thus doubling the frames per second. So you can watch your favorite shot more clearly now. The x.v. color compatibility enhances color data range of video by 1.8 times displaying true-to-life pictures.

Digital Media Extender, RJ-45, RS-232C inputs and DMP compatibility makes it more versatile. The HDTV with black grille cover will be available shortly though the price has not been disclosed yet.
