Sony’s Cheap Blu-Ray Player Is Back

Remember back last month, when you could get a nice pre-Christmas sale of the Sony BDP-S360 blu-ray player for just under a hundred bucks, shipped?

Well, apparently, the pre-Christmas sales start in January now, because the deal is back.

Now, the BDP-S360 isn’t exactly the best of Blu-ray players.  It doesn’t handle streaming content from Netflix or Blockbuster.  Worse yet, it’s also a refurbished model, which means the warranty expires after ninety days.

Admittedly, this isn’t such a great deal–you can get a used Blu-ray player for a bit less, even though it doesn’t come with a warranty.  And you can even get a brand NEW Blu-ray player for about the same price at Walmart, and it’s a Magnavox.

However, most reviews suggest that the Sony is a good enough Blu-ray player for the money, and so if you’re in the market for Sony and don’t mind a diminished warranty, then this should be the deal you’re looking for.
