Speakers to TouchBy Simon - 03/25/2009 2:15:56 PM |
“Something to touch” is the totally new speaker system with its concept “touching”. The design team Mile Project developed it together with the Shioyasu Urushi Ware Company as a new trial of Wajima-technique.
The unusual shape (a drop) of the speaker was configured to maximize the look of the character of Japanese lacquer, such as being smooth and having sculpture-beauty. Speaker cables are not connected to the main part of the speaker thus allowing to speaker itself to be movable. When not in use, the speaker in your room looks to be part of the rooms design, a piece of sculpture perhaps.
