Study shows that the Wii Fit does little to help family fitness

I’m sure that some of you have your home theater set up with huge space in front so you can play the Wii, and plan to exercise with your new Wii Fit Plus. Unfortunately, a new study by the University of Mississippi has shown that the WiiFit has very little effect on family fitness levels.

The study used about eight families, and their usage was tracked over a three-month period. It was soon discovered that Wii Fit usage went down by 82 percent, but they soon discovered that the kids displayed some improvement in the area of aerobic fitness.

This is exactly how it works in my house. My kids use the Wii, and I haven’t stepped on that little white rectangle in months. Clearly, I need a new years resolution to get going on that thing.
