Belkin discountinues FlyWire wireless HD transmitter

In July of last year we showed you Belkin’s FlyWire wireless HD audio/video transmitter which, at the time, seemed like a pretty cool device. Just imagine, being able to connect all of your electronics to one device and it would then stream the content to any TV of your choice.

Unfortunately for Belkin, it doesn’t seem as if the technology caught on as they have recently announced that they will be discontinuing the product with no plans for a rebirth. Of course, the economy could be blamed for the products failure because due to its $1,499 price tag it could obviously be viewed as a luxury item which consumers are cutting out left and right.

So now let’s take a moment of silence for Belkin’s FlyWire wireless HD transmitter. We barely knew thee.
