Delta Electronics HT-8000 DLP Projector

Delta Electronics adds another citation to its growing brand as its latest projector offering, the HT-8000 DLP projector has been awarded the 2009 Computex Taipei Design and Innovation Award for its green feature. The HT-8000 projector operates with a carbon footprint 30% less than similar projectors that use a conventional light source.

Delta’s HT-8000 is the world’s first 1080p home theater projector powered by a LED light source. With LED technology and over 20,000 hours life-cycle, there is rarely a need for lamp replacement, something common for most old projectors that becomes an eco-friendly concern.

The image quality of the projector’s full HD resolution plus saturated color and dynamic contrast is likewise impressive. The LED light source also augments the color gamut of the display and enriches the color fidelity of the projected image to provide a more theater-like viewing experience.

“Delta is very pleased to receive the 2009 Computex Taipei Design and Innovation Award organized by iF for developing the world’s first 1080p high performance LED-based home theater projector. This projector offers eco-friendly and energy saving design, superior image quality, and an attractive exterior design. Delta is making breakthrough innovations that are key to developing the next generation of projection display technologies,” said Mr. C.H. Ko, general manager of the Display Solutions Business Unit of Delta Electronics.
