Philips has recently announced their newest BD-Live equipped Blu-ray player dubbed the BDP7300. The selling point of this player, according to Pocket-lint, is that it starts up much quicker than similar Blu-ray players but Philips has released no further details regarding this feature.

Additionally, the BDP7300 will feature full HD 1080p video along with the ability to upscale DVDs to “near 1080p quality”, which sounds promising. Furthermore, the player will feature Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio, an HDMI 1.3 and USB port, and DivX, WMV, MP3, WMA, JPG and AVC HD support. Finally, the Profile 2.0 player will feature 1GB of built-in storage.

No word on if this player will hit the States but it will hit shelves later this month for around £249 (~$400)
