TI launches lamp-free projector

Texas Instruments exhibit industry’s first home theater lamp-free projector featuring Brilliant Color chipset and PhlatLight LED source during InfoComm 2008. Delivering 1080p picture, the projector sets industry’s standards in color and contrast performance.

You do not have to worry about lamp maintenance and replacement, thanks to the lamp free design. Apart from this, 30% low power usage makes it a cost effective device. Contrast ratio of 500,000:1 and high color gamut range ensures that you get a reliable solution with enhanced picture quality. The dust resistant filter-free DLP projector eradicates any kind of filter cleaning technologies.

The DLP technology based projector makes use of LED illumination to achieve high image quality. Though the price is not yet disclosed by Texas Instruments, the projector comes as a boon to the display industry.
