TiVo Bluetooth remote with slide-out QWERTY keyboard hits FCCBy Jeff Baker - 06/11/2010 11:35:02 AM |

When it comes to remotes, there is seemingly not much you can do in terms of innovation. Some companies like Logitech have added things like LCD screens but in terms of functionality, there wasn’t much added.
However, it seems like TiVo is taking the initiative and has a bit of innovation up there sleeve which is made evident by a remote that has recently hit the FCC, pictured above. As you can see, this remote features a slide-out QWERTY keyboard much like you would expect to find on a cell phone or something similar. Unfortunately, the keyboard only works through Bluetooth so if you’re expecting to use this with your non-Bluetooth enabled boxes, you’re going to be out of luck.
No word on when this will be released or at what price but we’ll keep you posted.
