TiVo Sues AT&T and Verizon for a Change
We’ve gotten used to see TiVo sue other companies for various reasons and it looks like right now AT&T and Verizon will have to defend themselves in some new trial. It looks like TiVo is going after AT&T and Verizon for infringement. In other words TiVo would like AT&T and Verizon to pay some settling cash as they apparently use a similar technology in their U-Verse and FiOS TV DVRs. But unlike DISH which reverse engineered a TiVo prototype, AT&T and Verizon have created their own machines and software to power them up. We’ll be on the lookout for this one as we’re certainly interested to see it play out. Do you think TiVo has a fighting chance in this one?
