New Series is truly designed for price class with every model exuding luxury and refinement. 600 Series provides you with a complete array of choices for both home theater and music system applications.

Henderson says, “In the case of our newest 600 Series models we have really pushed the limits of practical and cost constraints to emphasize what the brand is all about: advanced technology in the service of music, at all price levels. In fact, for many of us, hearing the results of leading-edge B&W technology working in our more affordable speakers is really the biggest thrill of all.”

Distinguising Features of 600 Series

Look and Feel

Soft-touch baffle paint, screw-less driver trim rings, and an elegant diamond cut logo on a brushed aluminum surface have enhanced the look and feel of the new valued range of Bowers & Wilkins.

Cabinet Design

An improved Cabinet construction is achieved by increasing baffle thickness by 30%. This lays a better mechanical foundation for the bass driver(s) reducing panel bending at higher volumes resulting in better bass definition.

Redesigned Tweeter

Nautilus™ tube-loaded tweeter is equipped with a powerful new neodymium magnet instead of the ceramic magnet used in the past. Doubled frequency response of 50 kHz puts distortion well outside the audible range

Kevlar® bass/midrange

A fixed center “bullet” piece improves smoothness and dispersion in the upper frequencies. To minimize chassis resonance and rear wave turbulence the range comes equipped with high quality, die-cast driver baskets.

Showcase of 600 Series products:

Currently 600 Series will be available initially black ash and red cherry premium finishes. A very popular wenge finish is expected to be available by Q2. For more information visit www.bwspeakers.com

I think its cool that they use a neodymium magnet instead of ceramic because it gives off more sound out of the speakers. So this is a good use of science with design.
