Toshiba Screen Fit TFT LCD
Toshiba Matsushita Display Technology Co., Ltd. (TMD) recently announced their newly developed thin-film transistor (TFT) liquid crystal displays (LCD) utilizing a “Screen Fit” transparent cover panel integrated with transparent resin to ensure impact resistance, improved legibility, and durability. The latest displays are designed for cellular phone and other mobile applications. The new series will hit the markets with a wide-QVGA (240×400) TFT display later on extending up to QVGA (240×320), wide-VGA (800×480) and other mobile displays. Mass production of displays will commence from June 2007.
