Western Digital announces WD TV Mini

A few days ago we gave you a glimpse of one of Western Digital’s HD media players entitled the WD TV-2. Today, however, Western Digital has notified us of a cheaper, less feature intensive media player entitled the WD TV Mini.

The little device you see above will feature a USB port for the playback of just about every file type you can throw at it, composite and component outputs with resolutions up to 1080i. Unfortunately, there is no HDMI port or 1080p support but remember, this is for the budget conscious consumers out there.

Western Digital’s WD TV Mini is available now from a variety of retailers for $99.
