Ypsilon VPS-100 Phono Stage Preamplifier The Ypsilon VPS-100 is a high performance phono preamplifier. This tube-based preamplifier helps deliver natural, musical, open soundstage. Aaudio Imports, the leading supplier of high-end audio products is all set to introduce this preamplifier into the U.S. market at the 2010 International Consumer Electronics Show that begins in January.

Available in an elegant rectangle of burnished aluminum, the preamplifier embodies new concepts such as a passive RIAA equalization circuit and amplification stages that help it stand out from other phono stages. Instead of the commonly used CR type, it uses a transformer-based inductance-capacitance-resistance (LCR) network and uses two gain stages and two T filters.

The superbly build VPS-100 includes a power supply that uses a 6CA4 tube rectifier and choke filter. It employs no printed circuit boards and point-to-point silver wire. A gain of 39dB, a 47k-ohm input impedance, a 200pF input capacitance, an output impedance of 1200 ohms, a frequency response of 10Hz–40kHz and –3dB are some of the key specifications.

You can now get the VPS-100 from authorized dealers at a suggested price of $26,000.
